BALLAST (series in progress)

This imagery seem to come to me forcefully and the first painting had a mind of it’s own. Since the initial work, I have been revisiting the concepts of balance, heaviness, weighted feelings, partnership. My work continues to use forms to create narrative moments that are acted upon by the composition to create specific moments, and in this series the Ballast form takes on that role.
